Dinner in Subiaco - Jus Burger

We went out to see "Drift" a movie filmed in our south west. The movie was great but we knew we would want a feed afterwards.  So before we left I did a quick Urbanspoon search for cheap eats in Subi.

A list of 20 places were revealed and we decided on Jus Burgers.  What a fabulous choice. As those of you who know eating out paleo can be a challenge.  Not at this place.  They have little notes on the menu for Pregnant women, Halal only eaters, vegans AND paleo.  They don't say paleo directly but they do say that you can have any burger with out the bun with extra salad at the same price.  We were stoked.

I chose a Roo Burger. Beautiful kangaroo mince burger (no bun). It comes out with lettuce on the top and bottom in place of the bread.  The patties are pretty big and there were two on my plate along with a lovely assortment of salad and a bit of mayo.  L chose the beef burger. Again presented in the same way and he asked for his with none of the sauces.  I ordered them on the side.  They were an aioli and a relish.  My burger came with green chilli jam which I decided to have on the side in case it was too spicy. It was.  So I am glad I made the choice.
Original Beef Burger with sauces on the side as requested

When ordering the staff were accommodating with no questions asked. We chose a bottle of sparkling mineral water and had a fabulous meal.  It cost around $37 in total which is a cheap meal out. We chose to sit outside and the atmosphere was subtly festive.

I highly recommend Jus Burgers in Subiaco for paleo and non paleo alike.

I couldn't help myself had to take a bite before the photo was taken.
